Go-ahead granted for Dunfermline Learning Campus

Fife College is to deliver a new education campus in Dunfermline by summer 2024 to foster greater collaboration between academia and business.

Dunfermline Learning Campus equates to an investment of £180m and will see the current Halbeath campus relocate together with St Columba's RC and Woodmill High Schools to a purpose-built 58-acre site between Duloch Retail Park, Calais Woods and the M90.

Mixing engineering workshops, sports halls, conference facilities and an events hub the multifaceted campus will adopt a contemporary style, championing openness and inclusiveness.

When complete the combined campus will accommodate 4,500 students and staff, double as a new 'civic heart' for the town with an aspiration to achieve net-zero carbon.

Balfour Beatty will commence work on the BDP designed campus this September.

Sports facilities, cafes, meeting rooms and social spaces will be made available for public use

So beautifully nestled into its sit … Oh no wait a minute … Why on earth has a building so importantly required to provide quality external space, been dropped in a car park?

This is misleading. I think the school is BDP and the College is Reiach & Hall
