Beer brand Innis & Gunn has detailed its vision for a major new Edinburgh brewery with the launch of a £3m crowdfunding campaign to help make the vision a reality.

Described as the largest brewery to be built in the city for 150 years the CDA Group design is earmarked for an as-yet-unspecified location and will bring all aspects of production from fermentation to packaging in house.

Dougal Gunn Sharp, founder and master brewer at Innis & Gunn commented: “This is the opportunity of a lifetime – to be part of the project to build Edinburgh’s first large-scale brewery in over 150 years. By investing in Innis & Gunn Beer Money, you will be helping to create a new legacy for our brand and brewing in Edinburgh, and Scotland, that will last a lifetime."

The new brewery was first proposed back in 2015 and is not expected to open its doors until 2021.
