Inverness Midmills campus delivers 30 homes for changing needs

The Highland Council have taken possession of 30 flats at the former Midmills College Campus site, each of which will be rented out to tenants aged 55 and over.

Specially adapted for older tenants the city centre properties have been designed by LDN Architects to embody the use of bold colour, generous amenity spaces and maximum natural daylight.

Delivered by Robertson Northern the homes follow on from Wasps Artists’ Studios which saw the transformation of part of the historic campus into studio spaces.

Provost of Inverness Helen Carmichael said: "The transformation is very impressive with beautiful homes and great communal spaces and it complements the regeneration of the rest of the site including the newly opened WASP Studios.”

As part of the works, a B-listed janitors house has been converted into a two-bedroom home, retaining many original features.

Patio doors that open into completely open / public space has to be one of the weirdest design trends in recent years. Why?!
