The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland has selected a nineteen strong shortlist for its 2019 awards programme, whittled down from 82 separate entries.
Those in contention for recognition include a varied batch of projects ranging from low key projects such as The Black House by Dualchas Architects on the Isle of Skye through to a new headquarters for the Scottish national Blood Transfusion Service by Reiach & Hall Architects.
RIAS president Robin Webster OBE, said: “This is an impressive list of buildings that all show the ambitious level of excellence that architects and their clients can achieve, and I hope that communities, government and local authorities, along with everyone else who needs to procure buildings will look at these examples and ensure that their ambitions match them.”
RIAS Award winners will be revealed at a formal dinner on 30 May, following on from last year’s roster of 12 winning entries.
