Scottish Design Awards 2019 entries open

The Scottish Design Awards are back in business with a brand-new website ushering in the 2019 awards programme as Urban Realm renews its hunt for the best in architecture and design.

The entry window for this year’s event opens on 4 March, with all submissions to be received no later than 20 April.

Urban Realm editor John Glenday said: “We are excited to show off our bold new look which will provide a much more fitting digital presence, encouraging more entries by minimising barriers between the best work and a successful nomination.”

Nominations should be filed online ahead of the all-important cut off by downloading and returning the entry form in good time. The full judging panel for both architecture and design panels will be announced in due course.

You can keep abreast of ongoing awards news as it happens by following @scottishdesign on Twitter or contacting kasia@urbanrealm.com (01413565333) to find out more.

If you had a category for consistently mediocrity Glasgow would win in hands down. From housing to offices to public buildings we set the bar at mediocre.

If there was a category for website with the whiniest, most negative readers (apologies I appreciate not absolutely everyone can be tarred), UR could possibly win. You're a contributor - congrats #1!
