Approval sought for Ayrshire ‘wedding barn’

Thomson Hunter Architects have brought forward proposals for an extension to the Enterkine House Hotel near Annbank, South Ayrshire, to form a new wedding venue.

The planned ‘wedding barn’ will supplant a temporary marquee, increasing capacity from a maximum of 220 guests currently to 300, while retaining a smaller function room within the hotel itself.

This work will also include a mew foyer and reception connecting to the current hotel. As part of the proposed works public parking will be increased from 30 to 67 spaces.

The proposals have been brought forward in conjunction with a separate application to convert a neighbouring farm into eight holiday homes.
