Waterside Currie apartments break ground
Ogilvie Construction has begun delivery of a £9.3m apartment development in Currie, Edinburgh, which will deliver 53 properties on behalf of Dunaven Homes.

Billed as a rural retreat in close proximity to the city centre River Mill boasts a woodland setting overlooking the Water of Leith on a steeply sloping bank falling from Lanark Road West.

Designed by Yeoman McAllister the homes include are arranged across five stepped blocks opening out to south facing rear elevations overlooking the river.

All properties will come with their own balcony or terrace with the street frontage to Lanark Road West kept below that of existing houses opposite. These will be set back from the road by a distance of some 6m, accessible by an entrance ‘bridge’ with undercroft parking below.

A shared parking court would separate this element from the riverside properties.
