Tenants line up for ‘de-furbished’ Calton Hill office space

Greenside is arranged over five floors and backing onto Calton Hill the space ISA-designed space offers a ‘de-furbished’ finish following a complete overhaul by GHI Contracts in just nine months.
Fintech firm Nucleus Financial occupies 50% of the resulting space, specifying an amphitheatre staircase to connect different levels, top lit by a newly installed skylight.
Retained fabric of the original office building has been overlaid with charred and treated douglas fir timber fins and vertical panels as well as steel overcladding, revealing the original concrete 'waffle' ceilings emphasised by feature lighting and a newly enlarged reception.
Chris Stewart, CEO of Chris Stewart Group, commented: “Blenheim House, as it was originally known, was a tired and inefficient office building when we bought it in mid-2016. We knew it had potential and I’m delighted with the completed building, now known as Greenside.”
Greenside won the refurbished/recycled workspace category at the British Council for Offices awards.
