Phase one plans finalised for Halo Kilmarnock
Keppie Design have filed finalised plans with East Ayrshire Council for the first phase of their Halo masterplan in Kilmarnock.

Situated on a former Johnnie Walker bottling plant the brownfield development will entail creation of a new ‘urban park’ mixing a variety of commercial, education, cultural, leisure and lifestyle interests.

Boasting its own deep geothermal district heating network the new quarter will include its own light manufacturing facility and private rental accommodation for key workers.

Centrepiece of the plan will be a 55,000sq/ft enterprise and innovation hub, a steel and concrete structure clad in profiled curtain walling and spandrel panels which will house collaborative organisations as well as a virtual reality café and retail.

Construction is programmed to complete by autumn 2019.
