Redevelopment work commences at B-listed Dumfries College

Work to overhaul the B-listed St. Josephs College has got underway signalling the official start of the Dumfries Learning Town project.The extensive extension and refurbishment of the landmark building will include fabric repairs to the main building and refurbishment of an existing extension - as well as erection of a new wing and sports facilities.
Deputy First Minister John Swinney said; "This new facility will provide a fantastic environment for children to learn in for generations to come.
The Scottish Government has worked closely with Dumfries and Galloway Council to help improve its school estate and I am please we could invest around £16.7 million towards the restoration and refurbishment of St. Joseph's Collge and the wider Dumfries Learning Town project."
Designed by CRGP the £23m project is expected to complete by March 2018.

It beggars belief that this recladding in this form has been approved. It will not stand the test of time.
