B-listed Edinburgh chapel set for hotel transformation
A B-listed chapel on Edinburgh’s Rose Street is set to be transformed into a four star boutique hotel with Glendola Leisure Group drawing up designs for the establishment ahead of a planning application in the next few weeks.

Charlotte Baptist Chapel will be reconfigured by J A Leask Architects to provide 22 bedrooms as well as a ground floor steak and gin bar

Deirdre McCarthy, planning consultant for JLL, added: “Development within the city centre has recently been focused on the east end.

"The redevelopment of 204 Rose Street is a great opportunity to introduce new vibrancy and activity at the west end of this iconic street in a building which is otherwise due to become vacant when the church community move out to their new premises in March next year.”

Glendola promise to be ‘responsible stewards’ of the chapel’s historic fabric during the conversion process.
