Empiric expands student portfolio with Stirling land purchase
Empiric Student Property have announced they are to press ahead with a 200-bed student residential scheme in Stirling after splashing out £650k to acquire a Forthside side with planning permission for 214 homes.

Located close to the train station Forthside Way will comprise a mix of studios and apartments.

Empiric chief executive Paul Hadaway said: “This is the group’s first investment in Stirling, which has a very limited supply of purpose-built student accommodation.”

A 2011 consent for the site by the ID Partnership called for construction of three riverbank blocks around a square and crescent together with landscaping work along a riverside footpath off Forthside Shore Road.

Empiric is currently pursuing separate schemes in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
