Contractor appointed for £4.4m psychiatric unit
Graham Construction has been appointed as main contractor on a £4.4m psychiatric care unit within the grounds of Stratheden Hospital, near Cupar.

Designed by Oberlanders the project will offer eight en-suite single bedrooms alongside a courtyard space for therapeutic and rehabilitative activities, alongside communal and staff areas.

This has been conceived to offer as safe and therapeutic environment as possible within landscaped grounds adjacent to the psychology department, taking the form of a timber rainscreen clad body above a light coloured brickwork base.

Gary Holmes, regional director at Graham Construction commented: “We have a lot of experience in delivering state of the art healthcare facilities across the UK and the new unit will be a fantastic addition to local health services in Fife.”
