Sustainable Rutherglen office block completes
Clyde Gateway has completed work on the BDP designed One Rutherglen Links Office, delivering 33,500sq/ft of grade A office space within the Rutherglen Links business park.

Located close to Rutherglen Station the landmark HQ is clad in fibre cement panels and is the first phase of the Rutherglen Low Carbon Zone master plan for the former Monogram factory site.

Highly energy efficient the £5m sustainable building has achieved a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ accreditation and an ‘A’ EPC rating.

In a statement Clyde Gateway noted: “Every aspect of One, Rutherglen Links, from building shape and choice of materials to key energy-saving facilities is designed to reduce carbon emissions.

“Early simulated tests indicate the building’s regulated energy consumption could be halved from that of an unregulated building of the same size. Ultimately, savings depend on the energy tariffs secured by the individual tenant but tests show that while you work in the building, the building is working for you.”

I would just like to point out that the facade material is in fact Rieder's 13mm thick concrete panel confusingly called Fibre C.
