Designed by Falconer Chester Hall the latest scheme is located at Beith Street, land previously earmarked for a giant Tesco store.
Composed of two distinct buildings enclosing a private garden space the scheme would be clad in glazing, sandstone, brickwork and metal cladding panels with a curved corner block facing both Beith Street and the river Kelvin acting as an anchor.
Developed, owned and managed by Downing the scheme will open up access with a new riverfront walkway, intended to connect (ultimately) to Kelvingrove and a central courtyard.
These would be augmented by new soft and hard landscaping; including a boundary of lime trees to screen the development and Geo Light sticks along the riverfront.
The Beith Street plans follow in the wake of a 201 bed scheme designed by Manson Architects, a 174 unit complex on Dumbarton Road by Carson & Partners and a much larger 447 bed Fletcher Joseph designed project at nearby Yorkhill.
A separate 402 flat scheme was also recently built on Thurso Street.
Subject to approval work could commence this summer for completion by 2015.
