Fast & Furious 6 puts Glasgow in the frame
Glasgow has been transmogrified into the capital of the UK for a few fleeting seconds, albeit only in Hollywood, after the streets of the city were used as a stand-in for London.

Fast & Furious 6, the latest installment of the Vin Diesel franchise, headed to the city to film key scenes of ‘vehicular warfare’ - centred on a faux car showroom on the Broomielaw.

This saw an array of outlandish vehicles parry with the Metropolitan Police around Cadogan Street with night time filming and oblique camera angles helping the Anderston Centre pass for the glittering skyscrapers of The City.

Filming for the flick took place last August with some residents complaining of late-night gunfire, explosions and car crashes rattling their bedroom windows.

Fast & Furious 6 opens in cinemas on 24 May.
