Miller Cromdale submit plans for Aberdeen energy HQ
Miller Cromdale has submitted plans by Halliday Fraser Munro for the erection of a new headquarters office building on Aberdeen’s North Esplanade West.

The project will entail demolition of the existing Riverside Business Centre to erect a five storey, 40,000sq/ft development to be tenanted by GDF SUEZ E&P Ltd.

The Grade A office space will play host to up to 200 employees allowing the energy firm to expand its exploration and production projects.

Pamela Grant, Development Director, Miller Cromdale, said: “This deal reinforces our on-going commitment to Aberdeen and further extends the North Dee Business Quarter.

“North Esplanade West is a prime office location offering views across the River Dee, and we are confident this building will be a key base for GDF SUEZ’s UK E&P operations.”

Construction work should commence in October of this year for completion by 2014.

The area this is based in seems to be undergoing quite a transformation. Dilapadated fish houses being replaced by offices, with the adjacent Union Square development as the catalyst.

Nice to see that despite the tedium inducing UTG 'will they won't they' saga that there's still plenty of developments going on.
