Stride Treglown win Preston tower approval
Stride Treglown Architects have secured planning approval for a £13m student residence on behalf of Marcus Worthington Ltd in Preston.

The 13 storey tower is designed to dominate the western approaches to the city centre on Corporation Street.

Encased in glass the development will accommodate 275 student bedrooms and studios above a double height podium base which will contain a bar, restaurant social spaces and a replacement chapel for the existing City Mission.

Work is expected to start before the end of the year with completion due in 2012.
