Sudjic returns to Glasgow for Italian design seminar
Deyan Sudjic, Director of Glasgow UK City of Architecture and Design 1999, is to return to the city to chair a Lighthouse seminar looking at Milan.

“Milan Design City” will build on Glasgow’s Italian heritage to look at contemporary design from the country and its influence.

Currently serving as London’s Design museum director Sudjic will discuss the influence of the Milan International Furniture Fair with Italian architects Fabio Novembre and Joseph Grima.

Sudjic said: “Italy has a unique place in the landscape of contemporary design; it has a long history of innovation, rooted in the skill and craftsmanship of its traditional workshops.”

The event will take place at the Lighthouse on Tuesday May 18 at 19:15.
