A Glasgow-based engineering firm is training its sights south with the opening of a new London Studio, three years after establishing a foothold in the English market with a Newcastle base.
Narro Associates has alighted on a space at Canonbury for its latest venture, augmenting established offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, Stirling and Aberdeen.
Led by managing director Ben Adam and associate director Lily Erskine, the new studio will focus on building conservation and preservation in addition to the cultural arena. It will serve as a hub for architects, heritage consultants, and cultural institutions to collaborate on design.
Adam remarked: "We’ve built a strong reputation for our conservation and cultural sector expertise, and we’re excited to bring that experience to a city with such a rich architectural heritage."
Erskine is well-versed in the London market, having joined Narro in 2016 from rivals Alan Baxter Ltd, where she helped deliver significant projects such as the Palace of Westminster, Goldsmith Contemporary Arts Centre and the Royal Academy of Arts.
