New Gorbals Housing Association and Glasgow City Council have opened a consultation on emerging plans for the North Laurieston area of the city.

Billed as a community regeneration opportunity and an extension of Glasgow city centre, the masterplan area is home to 33 listed buildings but is currently down at heel.

Building on the recent regeneration of the Gorbals the district will receive new homes and enhanced public realm commensurate with its central locale.

The stage one consultation will be held at The Savings Bank, 67 Bridge Street on 24 June between 14:00 and 20:00 with a presentation at 18:30.

The consultant team is led by Tom Connolly of Elder & Cannon Architects and includes Stantec, Ryden, CDP and Kevin Murray Architects.
