Haymarket hotel conversion to break ground early next year

Property developer S Harrison has struck a deal with hotel operator Meininger to manage a new Haymarket hotel housed within a former 1970s office block.
On the go since 2018 the agreement finally clears a path for the conversion of Osborne House by Comprehensive Design Architects, who will retain the essence of the Morris & Steedman original while carving out 157 bedrooms.
Incorporating a guest kitchen and games zone the design approach will retain the existing structure and facades while adding a new upper level.
Ann Scott, managing director at S Harrison said: "Meininger has established an enviable reputation for offering modern, well-designed hybrid hotels in key cities throughout Europe that appeal to all types of guests."
Work to deliver the new hotel will begin early next year.
