Wester Hailes office park begins student diversification drive

Indicative plans by CDA to redevelop two office pavilions at Pentland Gait, Wester Hailes, are the subject of a public consultation by Scott Hoibbs Planning.
Emerging plans by Hamcap would see both Heriot and Currie House partially demolished as part of a mixed use redevelopment including upgraded commercial space and student accommodation.
Located close to both Heriot Watt and Napier University's the 1.8 hectare site will be built out to provide 404 student beds and office space alongside the Union Canal.
A second round of consultation will begin on 15 January.
More will be made of the site's canalside setting
Selective demolition will open the site up for student accommodation
