Priority purchase scheme to ease Skye's fiercely competitive housing market

Highland Housing Alliance is inviting prospective homebuyers on the Isle of Skye to settle down at a new Broadford development as part of a Priority Purchase Scheme.

Built by Wittets Architects and Compass Construction the scheme comprises eight homes within the Campbell's Farm development to ease the way for locals entering the housing market.

Andrew MacMaster, design-build and proposals manager at Compass Building and Construction Services, commented: “The number of ‘affordable’ homes for private sale on Skye continues to decline, particularly as appetite for second-home ownership on the island rises."

When complete in January the estate will deliver 54 affordable homes managed by Lochalsh & Skye Housing Association.

The fixed-price homes range in value from £155k to £250k.
