Sanctuary Scotland has completed 128 homes in the Yoker area of Glasgow on the site of a former Scottish Power depot.

Anchor Court by Mast Architects has been built by contractor CCG and includes 56 apartments for social rent and a further 36 apiece for mid-market rent and first-time buyers.

Featuring solar-powered communal areas and electric vehicle charging the development establishes a strong urban frontage to Dumbarton Road with the spaces between buildings given over to car parks, 'defensible space' and planting. Feature metal cladding panels add interest to close entrances and prominent corners with a sawtooth pitch roof responding to the gable of Yoker Parish Church.

The development was supported by a £10m grant from Glasgow City Council.
