Canonmills garden apartments showcased

A former charity furniture warehouse in the Canonmills district of Edinburgh is set for dramatic change with the publication of new images for 48 homes on the site.

Kelvin Properties with CDA Architects have shown off visualisations depicting a red brick replacement on Logie Green Road, with each apartment having access to a balcony, roof terrace or communal residents' garden.

Incorporating 12 affordable homes accessible via a private stairwell the apartment block also includes a ground-floor car park with bike storage and electric vehicle charging points.

Marc Taylor, director at Kelvin Properties, said: "It’s been a challenging time for the industry, which has led to a shortage of new build properties across the city.

“The extensive outdoor areas – including rooftop terraces and a large communal space – have a real ‘wow factor’, and have also been designed with modern lifestyles in mind around mental and physical health and wellbeing.

“This is a much-needed development for Canonmills, helping regenerate a former industrial building into a thriving residential community.”

67 St Bernard's is due to complete by next summer.
