Graeme Massie Architects has been awarded the RSA Medal for Architecture. The award acknowledges ‘outstanding work’ and comes at the end of a successful year for the young practice, which was only formed in 2004.

Kevin McLeod is back in Scotland, after his encounter with the Parliament at the Stirling Prize and Cumbernauld Town Centre for the series Demolition. He’s here to talk to Stuart Cosgrove at the Lighthouse on 28 February and tell us about his passion for architecture and design.

JM Architects has acquired Wheeler & Sproson Architects, a practice with a 50-year pioneering legacy on Scotland’s built environment. Wheeler & Sproson will continue to trade as part of the JM Architects Group, and is now based in JM Architects’ Edinburgh office in Duddingston.

First published in 1971 by the Irish architect John Fitzsimon, Bungalow Bliss helped the Irish people build homes sans architect. The bungalows came to Ireland in their hundreds. The Lighthouse is to show an exhibition looking at the impact the Bungalow Bliss publication has had over the last 30 years. Bungalow Blitz runs from until 26 March 2006.
