Hundreds of affordable homes prepared for Musselburgh

Affordable housing developer Cullross has shared early plans for around 220 flats, colony homes and townhouses at Newcraighall, Musselburgh.
A proposal of application notice for a fallow site at Glennie Road calls for the possible inclusion of retail and commercial space together with associated parking, bicycle stores and green space.
A 12-week online consultation will set out these plans from Wednesday, ahead of a formal planning application.
Cullross director Mark Beaton: "As a company, we place a premium on a strong relationship and collaboration with the community, and we hope as many residents as possible attend these consultations.
"We invite the community to attend and look forward to hearing their views.”
Jmarchitects are heading up the design, which adjoins Queen Margaret University and Musselburgh Station.
The site is bounded to the east by a railway line and bisected by power cables
