Latest phase of Pennywell regeneration clears planning
Urban Union have been awarded planning consent by City of Edinburgh Council for the third phase of their £42m Pennywell Living development, which will see 315 mixed tenure homes built.

Designed by Barton Willmore as part of the city’s 21st Century Homes programme has been scheduled across four-phase schemes with 193 homes already delivered on site and an additional 700 still to come before work concludes in 2023.

Jon Parry, associate architect at Barton Willmore in Scotland, commented: “The proposals have been designed to be sympathetic to the earlier phases of regeneration and provide high quality, well designed energy efficient housing set amongst well landscaped public realm.

“The approval will support the area’s vision of being a place to work, shop, live and visit.”

A linear park lined with homes, retail and commercial units will form the centerpiece of the community.
