City of Glasgow College move into £50m Riverside Campus
City of Glasgow College has taken possession of its £50m Riverside Campus following its handover by contractor Sir Robert McAlpine on time and on budget.

Designed collaboratively by Michael Laird Architects and Reiach & Hall the campus will become home to around 180 students studying engineering, marine and nautical education.

Teaching space and the halls of residence face each other across a cloister garden opening out onto a riverside walkway with the scheme serving as a gateway to the city centre.

The old college building, engineering building and temporary on-site accommodation will now be demolished and the site landscaped by May 2016.

Work is continuing apace on the centrepiece Cathedral Street campus which should complete in August 2016.
