Outline design for Dalbeattie Learning Campus unveiled
Work to deliver a new education and community campus in Dalbeattie is progressing with architects Holmes Miller drafting outline plans for the scheme on behalf of Dumfries and Galloway Council.

Dalbeattie Learning Campus will accommodate a nursery, primary and secondary school arranged in one building and distinguished by a pitched roof and contemporary gables designed to evoke the local vernacular.

Each function will be housed within its own individual wing accessible from a central communal space in a cross-shaped plan.
Replacing a number of existing builds in the town, which are deemed no longer fit for purpose, the shared campus is being progressed in partnership with Hub South West and Graham Construction.

Construction work is anticipated to get underway during spring 2015 for completion by autumn 2016.
