Buro Happold unveil Belfast Metropolitan Arts Centre
Buro Happold has officially opened Belfast’s Metropolitan Arts Centre, an £18m art gallery and theatre complex, welcoming some 5,000 arts enthusiasts on its opening weekend.

Designed by Hackett Hall Mcknight the scheme forms part of the city’s Saint Anne’s Square development and supplants.

At around times bigger the size of the old Museum Arts Centre on College Square North, which this scheme supplants, the new museum is expected to attract around 200,000 visitors annually.

The scheme incorporates two theatres, three art galleries, rehearsal space, dance studio, education suites and workshops alongside office space, a café/bar and artists residence.
