TMS (Thom Micro Systems Ltd) was formed in 1981 from humble beginnings with our first office set up in Alloa to serve the needs of companies investing in the latest Micro Computer technology, the precursor to PC’s.
Today we operate out of two offices, with our head office located in Larbert and our northern office in Aberdeen. Our ethos from the foundation of the business has been to provide the best possible solutions for our clients.
TMS is the leading provider of CAD solutions in Scotland, with offerings based on the SOLIDWORKS and the Autodesk range of CAD/BIM products. As the only Scottish based CAD reseller in the UK, we have a large portfolio of customers working in a wide range of industries from multi-national Oil companies, leading Architectural practices through to industry leading design and manufacturing organisations.
The Company is a fully Authorised Autodesk & SOLIDWORKS Training Centre with state-of-the-art training facilities in our Larbert and Aberdeen offices offering a wide range of courses to compliment the CAD software solutions provided.
The recent addition of our Virtual Reality Suite has been welcomed by our clients keen to explore this medium as a tool to use both internally with their own design teams and with their clients. The ability to understand and convey ideas and proposals is a vital part of an architect’s skills. The more fully a design is understood by clients, end users and the design team, the more positive an impact it will have on the success of the project. Within the VR Suite, in addition to fully immersive Virtual and Augmented reality hardware, a large-scale HD wall wash projector is also in addition to the VR headset for group meetings with clients and others.

Sage - we are a successful Sage Business Partner with our development expertise and in- depth knowledge of the manufacturing and construction industries allowing us to become a leading provider of Sage in Scotland specialising in Sage 200 and Sage Manufacturing. We are also a Sage Accredited Developer - and provide a range of add-ons to improve the functionality of Sage software.
Elite - 'Elite' is the brand of our own range of business software. Chief amongst this is Elite Contract Costing - a market leading contract costing/job costing application used by hundreds of business throughout the UK. We also undertake completely bespoke software development projects - writing entire bespoke applications where there are no suitable 'off the shelf' products available.
