Queensberry Properties have broken ground on their latest residential development, a 36-home apartment scheme on Newhaven Road, Edinburgh.

Bonnington Mill replaces a group of workshops and offices with three separate buildings bounded by the Water of Leith, with balconies and private terraces maximising open views.

Grouped around a central courtyard doubling as a car park the Gilberts Architects designed build will embrace the riverfront via a landscaped amenity area.

Finished in buff brick and zinc the amended project adopts a varied roofline, expanded amenity space to better blend in with a wave of new housing development in the vicinity.

Completion is expected through 2020.
