A historic garage, believed to be the oldest multi-story car park in the world, will be retained as part of a new plan to redevelop the site in Glasgow's Hillhead.

Redevelopment plans for the garage in Vinnicombe Street  had originally proposed that the site be razed to be replaced with flats and a restaurant development. The new plans, unveiled last night (Wednesday) retain the facade, constructed prior to 1912 and consisting of terracotta tiles.

The building's international architectural significance had been recognised when the site was upgareded to A-lsit status by Historic Scotland.
