£1.6m South Ayrshire primary school extension breaks ground
South Ayrshire Council has broken ground on a £1.6m extension at Annbank Primary School, to serve the dual purpose of improving education provision and community facilities within Annbank and Mossblown.

Incorporating a sports hall and multi-use dining hall the new build will also accommodate custom built library and is being delivered by Ashleigh to designs by South Ayrshire Council Professional Design Services.

Donald Gillies, South Ayrshire Council’s Head of Property and Risk, said:  “The extension will greatly improve the facilities on offer while also giving the public far greater access to a new purpose-built extension and a brand new library

“With the main work now getting underway, I’m confident people will like what they see when the doors open next year.”

Work is scheduled to commence on 13 June with the demolition of a former janitor’s house with completion anticipated by February 2017.
