March 25 2008

Following a visit to the North Wood site and a hearing in the City Chambers, the Glasgow Council’s Planning Applications Committee voted 14-6 in favour of the controversial Go Ape planning application.

The plans are now to go before Scottish Ministers before final approval can be awarded.

The planning application, for an adventure playground to be built in the North Wood area of Pollock Park, has generated a great deal of controversy including 800 written complaints and on-site protests.
