Plans submitted for £100million redevelopment at former STV site

May 9 2007

Owners of the former Scottish Television site, IVG Immobilien AG, have submitted plans for a £100 million redevelopment which would see the Cowcaddens site demolished and replaced with 270,000 sq ft of new office space.

The proposal includes two main buildings, with almost 100 residential units, 10,500 sq ft of retail space, and underground parking facilities.

The Renfield Street site has changed hands three times in a matter of months, first to Scotia Homes, then Edison Properties and finally to German company IVG, in their first development outside of London.

Construction is due to begin later on in the year, subject to planning permission.
