Eastside Valley starts on site
Construction of a sustainable mixed use development in the Ancoats area of East Manchester, designed by architects Aedas, started on site this week. Phase one of Eastside Valley (the former Advent site), is a £100m, 6.5 acre scheme consisting of more than 140 apartments over a part-four and part-six storey building. A landscaped public realm area with a water feature will create the central hub for the whole development.

The scheme is being developed by Artisan Ship Canal Developments, a joint venture between Artisan Holdings, Peel Holdings and Manchester City Council. Regional Director at Aedas, Dominic Manfredi, said: “The idea for this project was to design and create a thriving and sustainable residential community, accommodated in a variety of apartment types.” Aedas is currently involved in a number of other schemes in and around Manchester including Rossetti Place Phase 2 and Forty Springardens.
