Taylor Wimpey and Miller resume hostilities over former military land
Taylor Wimpey and Miller Homes have former army polo fields at Dreghorn, Edinburgh, in their sights despite planners deeming them to be of ‘great landscape value’ and being ruled out for housing in the city local plan.

A battlefield for more than ten years residents had thought to have seen off this advance having won two previous battles to persuade planners to block plans for housing.

But neither developer has yet given up the war and plan to submit a new application later in the year leaving locals up in arms once again.

A planning application was previously submitted in 2004 for 47 houses, eight homes and an access road.

Both developers will hold a consultation event at at Cuthbert’s Episcopal Church Hall on Fri 15 and Sat 16 Jan.
