Blythswood Square Hotel motors along
Glasgow’s latest hotel has launched as the former Royal Scottish Automobile Club opens its doors as a titular vehicular hotel.

Designed by Ron Galloway Architects for the Townhouse Collection the hotel promises to recall the halcyon days of early motoring, the highlight of which was when the location served as starting point of the 1955 Monte Carlo rally.

This heritage will be recalled in feature wall canvases of the event and the refurbishment of both Salon and Rally bars.

Working in collaboration with Historic Scotland marble floors, staircases and fireplaces will be restored with Graven Images acting as interior designers

The Glasgow based practice have designed all 100 bedrooms, a world-class spa, screening room, the rally bar, the main bar and restaurant, meeting and event spaces, the salon and reception to capitalise on Glasgow’s convention market by snapping up the VIP sector, an area not well served at present.

As part of the refurbishment work Blythswood Square will also be restored to Georgian glory.
