Phil Zoechbauer, a 3rd year student at the mackintosh School of Architecture, has won the inaugural Holmes Award, an annual £500 prize open to students of both the Strathclyde and mackintosh School’s of Architecture.

Zoechbauer’s submission consists of two schemes in Dumfries and Galloway – a musician’s retreat in the valley of Glenluce and a ‘Music Box’ performance facility in Stranraer.

Sandy McMillan, judge and Partner of Holmes said the scheme showed: “Greatest maturity of approach and clarity of expression”.
