Richard Murphy and George Ferguson, ex-President of the RIBA, paired up with gusto at a recent get together after throwing caution to the wind and taking to the skies in Murphy’s very own microlight aircraft.

The flight of fancy took place above East Lothian, combining Murphy’s twin interests of flight with an aerial sightseeing tour of the regions great houses.

Successfully reunited with terra firma Ferguson was effusive of his pilot: “I have always admired Murphy’s talent as an architect — and now I do his skill as a pilot in a Scottish wind!”
