Refurbished Victorian arcade brings new life to Ayr

A Victorian arcade in the seaside town of Ayr has been brought back to life as a mixed retail, leisure and office space.

Queen's Court enjoys a town centre location with the refurbished spaces marketed for let by DM Hall, all clustered around a quaint cobbled courtyard. Several tenants have already signed up, including Puck Expreso, a clothes shop and barber with the main building converted to office space.

DM Hall's Anthony Zdanowicz, commented: “Queen’s Court is a fine example of elegant Victorian architecture which, sadly, had been lying unloved and unoccupied for some years. Since it passed into new ownership, however, it has undergone a renaissance and retail, leisure and office units are now available for lease, several of which are already under offer.

“Most properties in Queens Court qualify for full business rates relief and are competitively priced, with flexible terms available, ideal for local business owners. The owners are open to a variety of uses that will add to an artisanal mix and would be delighted to show interested parties around in what will be a rejuvenated town centre experience."

The historic arcade was originally built as stables and enjoys access to the busy Sandgate and Newmarket Street.
