7N Architects join growing ranks of employee-owned practices

7N Architects has become the latest practice to transition to an employee ownership structure as it looks to secure its long-term future.

The switch has seen founding director Ewan Anderson transfer 100% of his shareholding to an Employee Ownership Trust which will govern the business on behalf of all 24 staff.

In tandem with this move, which follows a similar recent announcement by Keppie Design, the practice has expanded its leadership team with Ben Watson and Craig Tait serving alongside Anderson as directors.

Anderson said: “This announcement gives us an opportunity to look forward to a bright future, which has been created from everyone’s hard work and talents, and one where all employees will collectively benefit from the team’s continued success.”

Founded 15 years ago 7N emphasises placemaking in their approach to key projects such as their Lerwick masterplan, Jordanhill Park and West Town.
