Stirling addresses social housing need with eight cottage flats

The JR Group has made a start on eight cottage flats in Stirling, replacing a demolished five-storey block.
The one and two-storey properties will rise on the corner of Glasgow Road and Barnsdale Road in the St Ninian's area of the city on behalf of Stirling Council.
The energy efficient build will employ a zero gas air exhaust system, triple glazed windows, solar panels and battery storage to reduce carbon emissions and more efficient operation.
Gary McGregor, JR Group managing director said: “We are delivering energy efficient, attractive homes which are much needed within the local area and have been designed to sit nicely within the locale.
“This is our first project with Stirling Council so we are excited to get started and bring to life a great vision for a fantastic new place to live in a bustling part of the city."
The timber kit build makes use of smooth facing brick/masonry and smooth render façades with weather board cladding feature panels.
