Ferguslie Park regeneration advances

The regeneration of Paisley’s Ferguslie Park has taken a step forward with the delivery of 101 houses by AS Homes and EMA Architecture and Design.

Renfrewshire Council has been leading the regeneration of the area, repurposing the site of the former St Fergus Primary, providing replacement accommodation for tenants rehoused from the nearby Tannahill estate.

Cllr Marie McGurk said: “It’s an area with a tight-knit sense of community – and with many residents moving into the new-builds from the old Tannahill estate, we hope that community spirit will stay intact.”

The majority of homes are council-owned with housing officers inviting tenants to influence the design of their homes. Full completion of the development is expected in July.
