R&D Construction calls in administrators
R&D Construction has been forced into administration after liquidity troubles prevented it from releasing monies owed for its employees wages.

R&D originally blamed the delay on a “banking glitch” but Ernst & Young have now been called in to administrate after the Dumfries based building firm and its banks failed to elicit sufficient funds to meet the wage obligations.

As the main subsidiary of R&D Construction Group the firm was engaged in housing renewal projects across the south west for the Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership.

Specialising in housebuilding, design and build and specialist contractor work the firm was ranked as one of Scotland’s largest construction firms.
