Hoskins & Keppie submit Ballymena proposals
Keppie Design and Gareth Hoskins Architects have paired up to submit proposals to submit a £14m health and care centre for planning approval in Ballymena.

Primary, intermediary, diagnostic and community health facilities will be brought together on the site which occupies a prominent frontage within the existing Braid Valley Hospital.

Contained over four levels, a ground floor which accommodates diagnostic suites, childrens services and community areas; a first floor providing GP practices and treatment are; the second floor houses sessional outpatient and mental health departments.  The third floor houses office space.

Defined internally by a central atrium and courtyard these spaces provide a reception point as well as providing clear orientation, natural daylight and circulation to the different departments.

Both Glasgow rivals are collaborating as part of a joint venture to deliver a series of healthcare projects for the Northern Health Trust in Northern Ireland of which Ballymena is the first.
