Eight pieces of gold
The Stannah Group of Companies celebrates an eighth consecutive RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Gold Award in 2016.

The Gold Medal award in the prestigious annual scheme run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) will be presented during a ceremony at ExCeL London on June 21 where Stannah will be exhibiting and sponsoring the FM Operational Excellence Arena at the Facilities Show.

The RoSPA Awards is celebrating too! 2016 marks 60 years of presenting highly-regarded and sought after accolades to businesses and organisations which have shown commitment to accident and ill-health prevention.

As the UK’s family safety charity, RoSPA’s mission is to save lives and reduce injuries in all ages and stages of life. In support of this mission, the RoSPA Awards recognise commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention at work. Through the scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Julia Small, RoSPAs Head of Awards and Events, said:

“To win an award at such a highly-regarded event as the RoSPA Awards is a great achievement for our winners. It recognises their commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record and raises the bar for other organisations to aspire to. We offer them our congratulations.”

The majority of RoSPA’s awards are non-competitive, grading achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels. Organisations that maintain high standards in consecutive years can win gold medals, president‘s awards and orders of distinction.

Jon Stannah, Managing Director of the Stannah Group comments:

‘This eighth RoSPA gold award recognises the outstanding commitment of our health and safety teams who maintain our priority for safety at all times. The safety of our equipment and its users, our customers, staff and lift engineers is the essence of our business brand and our day to day operations. Thank you RoSPA for this recognition and congratulations to everyone in The Stannah Group for ensuring safety remains our number one priority. ’
